Meet Bear, our beloved (and furriest) Engage + Empower Consulting general manager! At 8 years old, Bear brings calm, connection, and a bit of humour to our team. He’s an expert in nonverbal communication—whether it’s a perfectly timed head tilt, a slow blink of approval, or a gentle nudge when it's time for a well-deserved break. Bear may not be writing emails, but his presence is always felt, especially when he thinks it’s time for a walk, belly rub, or—most importantly—snack time.
Bear’s approach to leadership focuses on balance and well-being. He quickly reminds us to step away from our desks, whether with a squeaky toy dropped at our feet or an expectant look that says, “Isn’t it time for a break?” His calming influence is matched by his lightheartedness, often bringing a burst of joy during high-pressure moments with a playful stretch or spontaneous "zoomies." He has an uncanny ability to read the room, effortlessly setting the tone for a focused meeting or a creative brainstorming session.
Bear’s leadership style shows us that great communication is about more than words—it’s about presence, timing, and sometimes just knowing when to ask for a treat. He fosters a supportive, collaborative atmosphere where everyone is reminded to stay grounded and, of course, to never skip snack time.
